Summer Internship - Green Business Marketing
Position is 10-15 hrs/wk, with potential for future employment.
Primary responsibilities include developing and coordinating an event marketing schedule and assisting with social marketing presence on Facebook and Twitter.
The SunriseGuide works with more than 150 local businesses and numerous non-profit and public sector organizations. The intern will work closely with and under the guidance of the publisher and owner, and may also work with other team members on specific projects.
Great opportunity to gain broad exposure to the green business community in Maine, learning the types of sustainable industries that are both established and developing, and making valuable connections with businesses, organizations and individuals who are playing a lead role in sustainable practices in southern Maine. In addition, student may have the opportunity to identify new “green” business opportunities.
Ideal candidate will be proficient in social marketing protocols and resources, self-motivated, organized, positive (the glass is definitely half full), friendly, and energetic with an interest in, knowledge of, and passion for, environmental sustainability. Candidate must be enrolled in an academic program studying marketing, public relations, communications, green business or related field.
