As I look forward to 2009 amidst steady news about our economic woes, I am buoyed by the opportunity we have to become more conscientious consumers, to simplify and connect with what really matters, like family, friends, neighbors, and to consciously revitalize our economy by investing in local businesses and sustainable energy. When resources are short, we get creative.
